RT-3FTF
|
The RT-3FTF does not have any beveling or blending into the front angle, resulting in a robust bar that should accommodate very large hands. The RT-3FTF is the bar on the left and the traditional RT-3 is on the right for comparison. All of the other dimensions remain the same. The playing surface of the bar is 3.125" long and the FTF weighs a tiny bit more than the traditional version.

Chrome Plated Brass and Weight
All bars are brass and silver chrome plated in TN. Chrome plated brass offers a rich, warm tone and has a very low drag coefficient across the strings. The extra weight of the brass adds to the tone and allows the bar to obtain the minimum weight of five ounces in a compact, highly maneuverable, yet comfortable shape. The five-ounce minimum was Mr. Tipton’s benchmark for a minimum weight as he noticed the tone would begin to suffer if a bar was less than five ounces. All the bars weigh 5.3 ounces +/- 0.050. The more the ends are angled, the longer the bar is to keep the weight relatively consistent between models, even the ST-1, which has fully radiused ends.
Custom Engraving
I can engrave your name, initials or other text on the top flute of the bar for $12.50 each. For now, I am not offering to engrave logos or custom images due to setup time.
Availability
Stock will be limited as this is a hobby for me and not something I am able to do full time. Although I have a lot of Mr. Tipton’s brass stock, it will eventually run out; but for now, I have enough to make several hundred bars.
